Snow and Kitties

It is supposed to snow again today/tonight and tomorrow.

Haley watching tv as usual. (Her favorite is the weather channel)

Gus' reaction after I threatened to throw him out on the balcony on the snow (which of course I did later)
You can also see our "Christmas tree" in the back, I decorate my plant with ornaments and kitties knock them all off. Its a fun game.

Jingle Bell Run

At 6:00am on Sunday morning my alarm went off. Thirty minutes later I shuffled to my car as the ground was covered in ice since it snowed the night before. Two inches of snow lay on my car and I am cleaning it off and prying open the frozen door of my honda in my santa hat and socks. If anyone looked out their window, they must have thought I was crazy. I warmed up my car for a good 20 minutes and then made my way through the non-driven, iced over roads to pick up Kristen to head to the Jingle Bell Run. It was 19 degrees that morning. As Mom likes to say, it was "Brrr-cold!"

Note the Space Needle in the back with the Christmas tree lights on top!

One Year

I have been a member of 24hour Fitness for one year now. I love going to the gym and I try to go 5-6 times a week. This is a great way to let off some steam, get out of the house and lower your stress.

Some of my closest friends also go to the gym which is wonderful because everyday we get to meet up and chat while getting in our workout. Unfortunately, since we are all pretty busy, this is mainly the only way I do see and spend time with my friends, but luckily, we get to see each other basically everyday!

Jingle Bell Run

Weather update!

As of today, Thursday, December 11th the weather for my Sunday run is a high of 28 and a low of 17 degrees.

Holy crap thats cold!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This Sunday, I will be doing the 5k Jingle Bell Run with my friend, Kristen. A certain someone (cough,JulieRossman,cough) did not want to run with me.
The
weather for this Sunday is supposed to be a high of 32 and a low of 23 with snow showers. Last year, it started snowing during the run, but I think this year it will be even colder.
Santa hats and jingle bells, here we come!
Tis the Season
Our Christmas, excuse me, "Holiday" gift for our clients this year is very creative and delicious. We are creating a "Taste of Seattle Chocolates" and have compiled a few of local chocolate shops special treats. We ordered 100 gold boxes, which I spent, with the help of one co-worker, most of yesterday assembling the lids and bottoms. I went to Costco and purchased wired ribbon and tissue paper and today I am tying 100 ribbons around 100 gold boxes. The chocolates should be in today (the samples were delicious!) and so I will get to arrange chocolates in tissue paper in gold boxes wrapped in ribbon. I have reached out for help, but alas, I have not received any. However, I am on vacation tomorrow so whatever I do not finish today will have to be completed tomorrow :)
Festivus - A Holiday for the Rest of Us!
To complete our Festivus activities, we have mounted a six foot aluminum pole in my office space and have started a wall for the Airing of Grievances. Needless to say, there is a lot of activity around my desk to contribute to the wall of grievances.
